bren-5.jpgBrenda Emmett is the editor for Her Gardening Blog. She has painstakingly learned how to turn a brown thumb into a green one over the past 15 years, although she has gardened in some form or another her entire life. She loves to speak about plants and anything related to gardening. She even worked in a garden center for a couple of years and loved it. Her favorite flower is the tulip.

She is married to a wonderful man who has a degree in horticulture and is considered by many to be an expert in the field. He has taught her many things about the garden. They are often found gardening together.

As a freelance writer, Brenda has written extensively in the areas of health, fitness, parenting, homeschooling, business, finance, animals and even for a UK audience.

Brenda currently works from home and enjoys taking care of her family which includes her husband, son and a beagle. When she can’t be found online, you will find her outside in the yard and garden working to make something a little more beautiful.

  • Good afternoon,

I am contacting you from GardenVisit.com because we are giving away
eBooks throughout October to celebrate our 10th Birthday. Our Editor
Tom Turner has written 2 eBooks – The Principles of Garden Design and
24 Historic Styles of Garden Design. Please see
    http://www.gardenvisit.com/ebooks.

I thought perhaps this might of interest to your readers.

    Best wishes,

    Sarah

  • Brenda,

I invented an automatic plant-watering system that almost anyone can build themselves for next-to-nothing. It is environmentally-friendly because it is made largely from plastic soda bottles. Feel free to link to it at the website address provided if you think it will be of use to your readers. It is not patentable because there are products like it that are commercially available. But I like mine better because, among other things, it is translucent so you can see the water level and that provides a reminder when to add water.

    Hope this helps.
